Throughout his career, Austrian musician Thomas has impressed and inspired countless drummers not only with his advanced hand and foot technique, but also with his uncanny ability to play independent linear patterns around the kit. Monstrous chops aside, Lang also knows how to harness his amazing technical ability to play musically on the drumset, making him one of the most active touring and recording artists today. According to Lang, “Technique has nothing to do with music. It’s a tool, like a hammer: You can build a shed or you can build the Sistine Chapel.”
